Diabetic Gangrene of the 5th Toe of the Left Leg
(M.V., m., 66 ani / years old)
Clinical Manifestations: partial gangrene of the 5-th toe of the left leg; necrotic area placed on the dorsal aspect of the toe, inflammation at the base of the toe, extended on the dorsal aspect of the foot. 
Clinic: gangrenă parțială a degetului V picior stâng; placard necrotic al feței dorsale, inflamație a bazei degetului, prelungită pe antepicior.
Note the surgical absence of the 5-th ray of the right foot, which had been operated for a similar lesion 4 years ago.
De notat lipsa chirurgicală a razei digitale V a piciorului drept, operat cu patru ani în urmă pentru o leziune controlaterală similară cu cea actuală.
 
 Operation: amputation of the 5-th toe of the left
 leg.
Operația: amputația degetului V picior stâng.
